Covid is not a joke. Wear your mask to protect yourself and others.

CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO: I didn’t take Covid seriously until the school closed in March 2020. We thought we’d return in a few weeks. But we did not. I’m still doing school online months later. It has been hard not to socialize in person with friends, but we stay in touch online.

I think wearing a mask is the best protection against Covid and have no problem wearing one.

When I tested positive, I thought it was cool, “I had Covid!” At first, I thought Covid would not be as bad as the flu. I shrugged it off. But, it turned out not to be so fun. I had extreme fatigue, headache, and it was hard to swallow. I lost my senses of taste and smell. Covid was scary. I stayed in my room and played video games. I did feel good that I never had to go to the hospital but Covid is worse when you are actually experiencing it.

My dad came in clutch, stayed calm, and took care of me.

I’ve recovered now. Thankfully, my sense of taste is back, I was very tired of bland food.

I was lucky, my symptoms were not as severe as many. Covid is not a joke. Wear your mask to protect yourself and others.
